leather and lace

Happy Monday! Snapped these photos during a recent trip to Old Town Alexandria where my boyfriend semi-recently moved for work from NYC. While the travel time can often be a drag, I've loved being able to explore a new city and escape the NYC craziness every once in awhile. Old Town is the cutest, quaintest little historical town with great restaurants, stores, and a charming farmer's market, but is also right over the bridge from DC so there's never a shortage of things to do or places to see. 

 As I've mentioned before, I'm a big fan of mixing feminine and edgy pieces and thus, jumped at the opportunity to pair this long sleeved lace romper with my new staple leather jacket and boots. And to brighten up a gloomy day, threw in the brightest clutch I own!

  5. I have a similar lace dress (close enough to a romper, right?) and I wear it with tights and a blazer for winter. Next time I'll switch it to my leather jacket!
